Muddy Boots Gildersome Ofsted: Strong & Expected Standard
We’re proud to announce that Muddy Boots Gildersome received four Strong and two Expected Standard gradings following their most recent Ofsted inspection!
You may be aware this is the new grading system under Ofsted inspections and the intention is that the Expected Standard is 'a high standard set by Ofsted to ensure that settings are achieving the very best for all children’ and that is what they expect.
The team at Gildersome showed the inspector what a day at nursery is like for the children at Muddy Boots; their relationships with each other and the children were highlighted, as well as staff wellbeing and child engagement.
Natasha, Nursery Manager at Gildersome, said:
“I am extremely proud of the whole nursery team and our children. Everyone welcomed the inspector and the day was enjoyable, relaxed and a true reflection of a typical day at Muddy Boots Gildersome. The hard work and dedication of our team is reflected in the gradings we received and particularly shone through in the section titled 'What it's like to be a child at this setting'.”
To celebrate, we’re sharing some of the fantastic things said about our Morley setting during the Ofsted inspection.
"Relationships across the setting are consistently warm and respectful. Staff model respect and courtesy throughout all interactions, and children mirror this naturally".
"Leaders and staff create a culture of reflection, professional growth and shared responsibility. This helps to ensure that all children flourish in a safe, well-organised and thoughtfully planned environment, and families feel involved and fully assured".
At Muddy Boots, our people are the foundation of our success! We strongly believe that happy teams create exceptional nurseries, and that the quality of relationships within our teams directly shapes the experiences families receive. We could not be prouder of our team, working hard every day to provide the best possible care and nature-led learning for your family, and we’re so glad this has been reflected by Ofsted.
"Even the youngest children demonstrate remarkable engagement, while older children approach routines with enjoyment and confidence in what they can do".
We pride ourselves on making sure your child has everything they need to truly thrive during their time at Muddy Boots. From developing their first few skills, to getting ready for school, our child-led approach to learning and nature-led ethos ensures children are engaged in their learning and have the opportunity to develop their sense of self.
The areas of focus highlighted by the inspector, to further strengthen our practice and approach, are with curriculum and teaching and this directly links to achievement. "Leaders have identified professional development opportunities and are beginning to cascade more effective teaching through modelling, shared observations and targeted support". As noted by Ofsted, we are already putting this into practice.
A huge congratulations is in order for all the staff at Gildersome; thank you for all your hard work and dedication, we wouldn’t be Muddy Boots without you!
Thank you to all our parents for their continued support and to those parents who shared feedback with the inspector on the day.
