Finding Childcare for January 2027

Make January 2027 the start of your little one's next adventure!

There is something lovely about the start of a new year. After the excitement of Christmas and those cosy family days at home, January can feel like the perfect time to introduce a new routine, make new friends and open the door to exciting experiences.

If you have been thinking about nursery for your toddler, January 2027 could be a wonderful time to begin your nursery journey at Muddy Boots.

Our nature-led approach is at the heart of everything we do. We love seeing children thrive outdoors, watching their confidence grow as they explore, discover and learn through the natural world around them. From splashing in puddles and collecting autumn leaves to searching for minibeasts and noticing the first signs of spring, we believe some of the most magical learning moments happen outside.

Starting nursery does not have to mean diving straight into a full week. For many families, beginning with just two days a week is a lovely way to ease into this new chapter. It gives your little one time to get to know our team, become familiar with their surroundings and start building friendships at their own pace.

Imagine your toddler pulling on their little wellies, heading outside to explore, discovering something new in the garden and sharing their excitement with their new friends. Along the way, they will have opportunities to develop their independence, enjoy seasonal activities, discover new foods and become part of a little community of their own.

At Muddy Boots, we love seeing children flourish when they have the freedom to follow their curiosity, get their hands dirty and learn through real experiences. Being outdoors encourages little ones to move, investigate, ask questions and develop a wonderful connection with nature. And yes, there will be muddy knees, rosy cheeks and plenty of stories to bring home!

Could your family benefit from funded childcare ?

We know that working out childcare funding can sometimes feel a little confusing, especially when you are trying to plan your return to work or decide how many nursery days might suit your family.

Eligible families may be able to access 15 or 30 funded hours of childcare, depending on their child's age and circumstances.

At Muddy Boots, we are happy to help guide you through the government funding process, explain the steps involved and help you understand which options may be available to you. We want you to feel informed, supported and confident as you plan this exciting next step.

We also offer Innovator sessions, which are fully funded through the 15- or 30-hours childcare funding. Your little one can attend up to five days a week, from 9:00am to 3:00pm, term-time only.

These sessions are a fantastic option for children beginning their Muddy Boots journey, as well as those with older siblings already attending school, helping to provide a consistent, flexible routine and a wonderful start to their early year's journey.

If you are considering a January 2027 start, we recommend getting in touch early to discuss availability, your preferred days and the funding arrangements that may apply.
