Well what a fantastic time we had on our Team Building Day. Almost everyone made it along with us to Dalby Forest, where we spent the day with Dalby Activity Centre (http://dalbyactivitycentre.co.uk/) to learn lots whilst having fun.
Our main aim of the day was to build & strengthen the sense of ‘team’ between the staff as we value this highly within our nursery, even to the point where we believe this sets us apart from other providers. We aim to be a fantastic setting for children and families, and our staff team are the most important ingredient to ensuring we provide a high quality of care. If the staff team are happy, confident and fulfilled in their role, the quality of care they provide towards the children will be at it’s best.
In two teams we had an Archery competition, completed a Low Ropes Course (harder than it looks!) and a ‘Night Line’, involving guiding each other through obstacles in the forest. The Owners of Muddy Boots, Anna & Andy took a session; teaching on teamwork, vision casting, exploring ways to become Outstanding with Ofsted and planning for the future.
It was an extremely valuable day together – there has already been so many positive knock-on effects in nursery and we are confident it will benefit the children immensely. A big thank you to all our families for enabling us to take this important day out of the normal nursery calendar to build an effective team!
